Since the RapidAir system is rated for up to 150 psi, what do I do if my air compressor is rated above that pressure?
Simply add a pressure regulator after the compressor, but before the RapidAir system and adjust it to 150 psi or less.
Most air tools are only recommended to operate between 90 - 120 psi, so this will never hurt performance.
Does the nylon tubing come in larger diameter sizes?
No the tubing does not come in larger sizes. To produce the tubing and fittings in larger sizes would make it unaffordable.
The tubing has an excellent flow rate, feel free to you use our flow rate calculator.
If more air volume is needed, you can use the Atlas Copco Airnet system of aluminum hard piping.
Do the push to connect fittings really hold the tube in firmly with no leaks?
The RapidAir fittings are based on designs that have been used in manufacturing automation equipment for years. Their same concept is even used in brake systems for over the road semi trucks.
The tube is sealed in the fitting with an o-ring on the outside of the tube, and small metal shark teeth hold the tube in place.
Who is the manufacturer of the RapidAir product?
We (Engineered Specialties) are the manufacture. We take pride in every RapidAir kit that is shipped from our Central Wisconsin location.
